Hi! I am so glad you came to join the chocolate party! I hope to see you here again and again.
My name is Gina (a.k.a. Chocolate Mom). My husband and I met in 2006. It was not love at first site. He was hyper, I was shy. I called him a freak. We both loved the outdoors and physical activity. Before long we were going on 100 mile bike rides together and climbing various peaks in the areas. This is where our greatest strength, communication, began. He proposed in 2007, immediately after I was diagnosed with mononucleosis, he lost his job and was in a large bike accident. We got off to a great start.
I currently work as a “computer nurse” at a hospital in Utah. After working in clinical nursing for five years I began my love affair with computers and wanted to make a difference affecting the way technology reaches medicine. So far nursing has taken me to Mexico, Ghana (Africa), the emergency department and the intensive care unit. I have learned more than I could ever imagine, and then I had my little boy.
Our little boy came along in 2010. When you add stubborn (me) to stubborn (my husband) you get impossible. That is my little boy, but we love him. He has been a challenge from the beginning. My pregnancy was miserable that ended in disaster and an emergency c-section. He came out not breathing, white and limp. My little fighter has come a long way, and the fun continues! We spent Christmas day 2010 in the hospital as well as other visits. We have had regular visits with physical and speech therapy. We love every minute of it. It is so sweet to see him succeed- I never knew I was a cheerleader.
I created My Chocolate Peaces to expand my world of chocolate love. I love the taste of a good chocolate bar. I love spending time with friends, and it is an extra bonus if chocolate is included. I love to indulge in the sweeter things in life, especially meeting awesome people and havings amazing experiences. That being said, I am so glad to meet you. Please leave a comment so we can get to know each other and share the chocolate experience!
Peace, Love and Chocolate!
