Welcome Back and Blog Business…

Hi Everyone! How was Christmas? How was your New Year? Sorry to run off for a few weeks… but I really wanted to work on some projects for you and take a bit of a digital break. By the way, if you have not taken a digital break before, I highly advise it!

Anyhow, unfortunately my break was not all break. We had a family member pass away, another end up in the hospital…not to mention Christmas and New Years which is always busy. Then as far as my big plans… I think I am just cleaning up the last of the technical issues that were involved to put the plans in place, now I am dealing with logistical issues. But no worries- I will of course fill you in on the goodness as it comes.

I do have 2 big announcements today though.

The first is that I am adding another writer. When I think of someone to write for this blog, I could only think of one, my ‘chocolate soul sister’. Now I have several friends that like chocolate, including all of you… but this girl knows the little crazy passion behind my love for chocolate. We have been friends for over six years, we have traveled to many places with our friends, we even have dated the same guy (eek!). Anyway, I think she will be a great addition to the blog and add to why I started it in the first place: for the love of chocolate.

meeting Amberlin

From the top of Angels Landing in Zion’s National Park. This is the first trip that I met Amberlin on… and Chocolate Dad.

The second big announcement is that my husband and I are expecting another kiddo! It will be our second child and the due date is July 21. So far this pregnancy has been just as crazy as the last one… I just have a little better idea of what to expect. Although I think I have been a bit more grumpy… sorry Chocolate Dad.

birth announcement

One last minor announcement is that Chocolate Friday, taste reviews will be moving to Tuesday. Recipes and crafts will remain on Mondays and Sweet Thursday will remain unchanged. When Amberlin posts, it will be on Wednesdays.

Anyway, thank you for letting me take a break, I really needed it. I had a great time and I am excited to be back and share more chocolate!

Yes, yes- bring on the chocolate. Pregnancy is fine this time around, actually better than last time… which is where most of my apprehension lies. :) Thanks for coming by today!

I should write a story on what it took just to get that picture… i.e. just because you go to a kids studio does not mean they are good with kids. Thanks for the well wishes… I hope it is easier than last time around.

P.S. I really hope you name the next kid something chocolate-themed, like Cocoa. I’d even start a petition.

You are more than welcome to start a petition… but no, I am not that crazy. :) Thanks for coming by today!

Don’t worry Chocolate Mom, I’ve come to expect pregnant to mean grumpy even when you say you’re not grumpy!

I recently found your blog and am thrilled to see it’s all about Chocolate! You see, I’m a Chocolaholic myself :) Having a son with Life Threatening Allergies has made me have to learn to make changes in our foods. All t his is sue to cross contamination in processing plants. Unfortunately, Chocolate is included. I am starting a blog to include recipes that I have altered in order for to make them Peanut and Nut Free. it’s called http://littlebitsandpiecesoflife.wordpress.com/
By the way, your little Chocolatier is adorable. I wish you and your family lots of happiness with newest addition to your Chocolate Family :)

    • Chocolate Mom says:

Thank you for all of the compliments! Despite your sons diet… I hope you get to sneak chocolate sometimes- or at least come here. :) Have a good day!

So sorry for all the typo-s. I swear I feel like my grandmother the first time she saw toast pop out of a toaster! Feeling like i’m all thumbs today and no way of fixing the mess… Oh well, guess I will drown my sorrows in some Chocolate :)
    Apologies
