Living Large for Sweet Thursday- Paralyzed Pro-Snowboarder Rides Again

The individual in this video is a friend of my husband’s. He was a top snowboarder until his life changed in an instant. Personally my I ski and snowboard and love the new found freedom every time I carve my way down a rugged landscape. I love the feeling of the air rushing past me. I love it when the sun radiates down on the landscape and makes an amazing day exquisitely beautiful. I cannot imagine losing that. I was so bummed when I had to stop skiing when I was pregnant… let alone stop for years. I also have another friend that knew she was born to ski and so she made it happen.

Watching this video reminded me of those things that I love so much about skiing and snowboarding all over again. You can also tell the excitement in the air as Tim takes his first run successfully down the slope. Live large.

What do you do to live large?

Happy Sweet Thursday everyone!

Oh my gosh, that video was AWESOME! What a great share, and how wonderful for him to be back on the snow in the format he loves.

I guess you never know what happens when innovation is no longer on the horizon and right in front of you. I hope they develop that idea into a real product.

I’m a snowboarder myself and can’t imagine loosing that freedom either. God bless him!

Where is your favorite place to ride? Have you ever tried skiing? I just can’t decide what I like better…

    Ehm… I had five kids!

Watching this video makes me think I need to live large every now & then! What an inspiration!

    • Chocolate Mom says:

Or as I mentioned in the previous comment- climb to the top of your own gold medal podium. I know I can get stuck in my routine pretty easily. Have a good day!

This is a great reminder of how lucky we really are. Before I start complaining about things that don’t matter, I need to remember things like this. :-)

    • Chocolate Mom says:

Lucky we are. :) I think even beyond remembering, it helps to recognize them. Speaking about myself here of course. :) Almost the weekend!

  6. Incredible! People like Tim remind us that the only limitations in life are those we choose to receive.

Until I turned 40, I lived timid. Then, in Mexico, I jumped from a cliff into a deep underground lake. Thrilling! To this day, my husband’s greatest regret in life is that he didn’t join me. (Not bad as regrets go) Now we seize every opportunity and don’t let fear decide the course of our life. :)
