Don’t you just smile whenever it happens? Smile at every little girl that twirls in her pretty dress? Smile at every little girl dreaming of being a princess?
I love the statement that “Every girl is a princess”, but I did not always believe it. I did not like pretty little dresses. I did not like playing with dolls and I did not like being a princess. Until my sister came I had 2 brothers to keep up with and being a princess was not cool.
So last week I sat in church concentrating mostly on keeping my little boy quiet and on the bench. Then I noticed during one of the hymns being sung a little girl off to the side that was dancing to the music. She moved freely and carefree. I smiled know that this little girl knew something it took me awhile to learn, that she was a princess. I smiled because somewhere there was a very smart mother that let her little girl learn to love the music through dance, even during church.
I hope that today you find something that makes you smile. I hope that you remember every little girl is a princess, inside and out. Happy Sweet Thursday.
