Would you believe me if I told you this was a chocolate tomato? That is what a farmer told me this week at the farmer’s market. Like a chocolate sucker, I bought it.
I did double check Google, just to make sure I was not really a chocolate sucker.
There is such a thing as a chocolate tomato. There is also such a thing as a chocolate tomato bar, tomato chocolate cake and chocolate spice tomato soup cupcakes. I am now curious to know what the combination chocolate and tomato tastes like, when I finally try it, I will let you know.

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you my favorite easy way to have tomato’s.
Tomato Salad
1 1/2 pounds tomato’s, cut into wedges
salt
pepper
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
chives
basil
Season tomato wedges with salt and pepper. Cook balsamic vinegar and brown sugar in a small skillet over medium heat until reduced by half. Remove from heat and whisk in olive oil. Drizzle over tomatoes and add snipped chives and basil. Yum!

Yummy! Fresh tomatoes are delish!
So good. We also had a tomato that was a little spicy… I wish I could remember what it was called. Thanks for coming by!
Yum!! Fresh tomatoes are amazing things. I have had chocolate tomatoes and they are oh so good. BTW, great recipe.
I just met someone that has an avocado tree in her backyard… a little jealous. She says she eats tomatos and avocados all the time. Have a good day!
I would be jealous too. Wouldn’t that be the coolest thing? I would love to have a fig tree as well.
I have not had a fig in the longest time! We had fruit trees at our last house and loved it. And fruit trees in your garden?
It’s the first time I heard of such. Looks really good!
They are a type of heirloom tomatoes… soooo good.
