As the sun first peeks out in the morning it gives only a glimpse of the vast landscape. As it continues to rise additional features of the landscape are revealed and one begins to recognize the features surrounding them. A few minutes later the sun is fully above the horizon and illuminating the intense landscape around you… it’s beautiful.
So it is with Domori chocolate. The beans are the criollo type from the countryside of Venezuela and are considered by many the finest in the world.

Upon tasting the Domori chocolate bar, one experiences that first glimpse of the sunrise. Next, indulge in the aroma of rogue cacao. Place the piece on your tongue and as the sun rises over the horizon, let the flavors start to emerge. First the origins of cacao, shortly after that the spice of peperoncino. Just as the sun floats higher over the landscape, the spice of the chocolate bar intensifies. The spice reaches full intensity, almost overcoming the chocolate to finish out the bar with a flavor experience not to be forgotten.

I loved the simplicity of this bar. The spice was artfully crafted to slowly envelope your taste buds. It was almost too much spice for me at the end, but the texture was perfectly smooth which is my favorite. If you are at all a fan of spicy pepper, I recommend you don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this sunrise.
Have a great weekend!

OMG… I want to try this chocolate. Your description totally pulled me in and had from the start. Awesome… just saying. Where can I get this chocolate bar. Have a great week-end.
Not sure about your location. But if you click on the Domori link, I am sure you could order some there. So sorry for the late reply! As you know we moved yesterday and we are still organizing the chaos… the fun continues!
No need to apologize. Moving is all consuming… I truly understand. I live in Sacramento. In the meantime I will check out the site.
Have you been to Venezuela!? My husband grew up there and we cook Venezuelan frequently.

Ha, ha- no. The beans that the chocolate is made out of are from Venezuela. I just thought the spice slowly becomes more intense, just like the sun of a sunrise. Thanks for coming by!
I’ve heard of this before but never tried it. Now you have me intrigued. Thanks for sharing at the All Star Block Party.
I hope you get the chance. Chocolate and spice has always intrigued me ever since I first tried it. Who would have thought that spicy chocolate would be good! Thanks for coming by!
