Thank you everyone that left comments about the bread recipe last week, Breakfast to Go. As I mentioned the bread recipe has been used in my family for years and we have done a lot with it. Here is another that we had almost weekly when we were kids!
What kid does not like pizza? We were no exception and my Little Dude definitely is no exception. We also especially loved the crust- and we got more of it with this recipe.
First make any basic bread recipe. If you want to use mine, you can find it here.
Roll the break dough out so it is basically square, about 1/4 inch thick.
I like to make an outline around the center of the bread where I am going to be putting the toppings and it creats a cutting guide for the braid strips. I do this with a knife and push hard enough to make an indent in the dough but not all the way through.

I then cut the side strips, about one inch thick. Try to make sure that you cut the same amount of strips on each side.
Then place your toppings in the middle. Toppings can include any of your favorite pizza toppings, sauce too.

Then starting at the top, tuck in the top piece of dough and start braiding the strips of dough together over your toppings.

Continue this until you get to the bottom. Tuck in the flap at the bottom underneath the braid. I like to pinch the braid together to seal it off.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees farenhight (or temperature as recommended by your recipe) for about 15 minutes or until done. I allow mine to get a little extra brown on top just to make sure that the inside is thoroughly cooked.

Slice and Enjoy!

That looks SO yummy! Going to have to try that. I have some pre-made pizza dough I could try this on.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for coming by. I hope you love it… the crust was always my favorite part of the pizza anyway.
Anything with pizza, and I’m sold immediately. What a beautiful presentation. Can you use pizza dough?
I have not tried, I am sure you could. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for coming by!
Oh wow, that looks so yummy! I wish I could make something even close to that.
I am sure you could.
Thanks for coming by!
This looks really tasty and easy, which I like! Quick weeknight meal!
Exactly, and you can make it however you like. This one was actually made completely from leftovers in the fridge. That pepperoni is actually salami that I never used for a salad. Thanks for coming by!
Hi, I love this. I am out of the country for a few weeks. That makes it hard to keep up with my favorite bloggers. I thought I would take a moment to see what’s up. This is a recipe I will need to try. I can’t wait to try the bread recipe.
No worries, I am traveling a bit next week, not out of the country and I am already not sure how I will keep up. How is Paris?
This looks so good. I am definitely going to be trying this. Thanks for sharing at the All Star Block Party!
Thank you for hosting! Love parties!
